Loopings: Swiss platform for new career paths from midlife onwards

Loopings is the online platform of the Swiss Neustarter Stiftung (Neustarter Foundation). With creativity and a network built up over many years, Loopings motivates and supports people from midlife onwards to dare to make career changes. Loopings helps companies and organisations to develop and implement forward-looking concepts for older employees.

It all started with Neustarter.com, a platform we had built for the Neustarter Stiftung in 2017. Based on the experience gained since then, the Neustarter team conceived a new platform with a broader focus: Loopings.ch. Our first task was to give Loopings a face – with a corporate design, logo, colour palette and everything that goes with it. One thing was clear: Loopings was not to be a conventional, business-like platform, but one that encourages people from midlife onwards and comes across as open and approachable.

The result was a colourful, slightly playful and at the same time very clear, simple design. The logo reflects this too: a wave symbolising the constant ups and downs. Shapes and symbols add visual accents and complement Loopings' own images – we deliberately avoided stock images, because authenticity makes the platform credible and approachable.

Technically, Loopings relies on the headless CMS Storyblok: the editorial team enjoys working with it, and it is very fast. The clearly structured layout supports a well-crafted mobile view. For the live events where interested people and the Loopings team come together, we created a dedicated extension and connected it to Storyblok – information and registration are handled online. The scope of services included corporate design, consulting, concept development, platform design (UX/UI), front-end and back-end development in Storyblok, implementation of the event tool, workshops, training and DevOps.
